ONE EXPERIMENT

Noticing your “on” moments

For a day or two, gently notice when your system feels:

  • slightly tense
  • alert
  • unable to fully switch off

This might be subtle.

You don’t need to change anything — just notice.

When you do:

  • Pause for 30 seconds
  • Exhale slowly, slightly longer than your inhale

That’s it.

No fixing — just creating a moment of regulation.

Repeat this a few times a day.

1. Always “on”

You may be more used to being in a state of alertness than you realise.


2. Rest that doesn’t restore

Even when you stop, your system may not fully switch off.


3. Sensitivity to input

Noise, demands, or pressure may feel more intense than they used to.
